The Bay Quest is a forty-three foot fiberglass Chesapeake Bay Deadrise custom built locally for Capt. Rowe by Hulls Unlimited in Deltaville, VA. A Deadrise is specifically designed to provide a comfortable, stable ride for the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and coastal Atlantic and has earned the designation of being Virginia’s state boat. There is no more comfortable, safer vessel to charter for these waters. The simple yet elegant sport fishing design provides a spacious open cockpit for reeling in fish, as well as, an enclosed area that provides protection from the elements and heat when needed. Powered by a
450 hp Cummins diesel engine, you’ll have a fast quiet ride to and from the fishing grounds.

U.S. Coast Guard INSPECTED and licensed for up to 25 passengers. The Bay Quest has received a special recognition by the Coast Guard for its years of safe service.

Capt. David Rowe is a local waterman who grew up in the little fishing village of Lewisetta and has made a career "following the water." At age 13, Capt. Dave began working as a first mate for a well-known local charter captain and by age 19 he was a fully licensed Captain. He holds a 100-ton Master License for Coastal and Inland waters with a Towing Endorsement. Capt. Rowe also has a Bachelor's Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Off-season will find him oystering, commercial net fishing, or crabbing. With his working knowledge of boats, equipment and the water, he is a Captain who can find and catch fish as well as provide a safe and enjoyable trip for you and your group.
