Plenty of Bluefish

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

We have had to troll to keep moving to get some relief from the heat.  Been catching plenty of Bluefish with some keeper Stripers.  Cooler temps are on the way but hot fishing is here to stay!

More Blues and Striped Bass

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

Melinda Clifton(in pink) celebrated her birthday fishing on the Bay Quest. Happy Birthday, Melinda and hope you have many more!!

Long-time friends, Mary Lu & Ike Coleman, with family.

My daughter-in-law, Jouette (on left), with friends enjoyed a day on the Bay.

The past several trips we chummed and trolled for Blues and Stripers.  Luckily most days we’ve either had a little breeze or just having the boat moving when we trolled made it not so bad so far as the heat.

A Picture Is Worth A THOUSAND Words!

In the last several days we’ve caught more sharks, rockfish, croaker, bluefish and today we caught some citation red drum!  August looks like it’s going to be a slow month for bookings if I can’t find somebody who enjoys being on the river and having a lot of fun.  Jacob and I will certainly try to give you your monies worth!

My neighbor, Susan Raynes, with First Mate Jacob's assistance shows off the biggest shark of the day. Fried Shark nuggets are better than chicken!

Jennifer Allison shows off a nice size croaker.

The Red Drum Have Arrived.

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

This past week we started catching Red Drum, in addition, to Bluefish and Croaker.  Take a look at the sizes!  The Drum are typically only here  for about 4 – 6 weeks so don’t put off booking if you want to get in on this action.

Tight lines,

GOOD LITE TACKLE FISHING CONTINUES

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

We’re chumming for Rockfish & Bluefish and are also catching 2 lb+ croakers mixed in the chum line as well. I love chumming because we can use the lite tackle and really enjoy feeling the fish on the line.  Thanks as always to everyone who fished this past week and hope to see you back soon.  Capt. Dave

I have pulled out the lite tackle and packed away the trolling gear for awhile.  Chumming for the rockfish has been excellent and then most days after catching our 2 fish per person we have gone bottomfishing.  As you can see, we are catching citation size croakers right now also. As always, give me a call if I can be of service.  David

Calvin's Done for the Day!

Fishing is excellent.  We are catching a wide range of fish including Stripers(Rockfish), Bluefish, Croaker, and now some Spot.  Action has been all day and as you can see a couple of my anglers were completely exhausted from catching fish.  I still have good days available for charter.  News down the bay is that there is a big Cobia bite on.  The Cobia week, July 5 – 10, still has some days open so if you’re interested in those whoppers give me a call.  The next Open Boat Day is July 4th and has slots open also.

Thanks everyone for fishing with me this past week!
